Zappa Plays Zappa @ The Lincoln Theatre Wednesday night

That's right folks! Frank Zappa's legacy lives on through the work of his son, Dweezil, and a handpicked group of musicians talented enough to perform the perplex awe inspiring work of the late, great Frank Zappa. The Mozart of rock would smile with approval from the great beyond if he knew the degree of perfection with which his son is recreating the Frank Zappa canon and live experience. Get your tickets online or at the Lincoln Theater box office.

The Master of Space and Time @ The Lincoln Theater 12-7

It is an honor to have someone of Leon Russell's stature playing an intimate club setting like The Lincoln Theater. Maybe now that he has resigned his post as one of the most in demand musicians around he can tone it down a bit. Throughout the 60's, 70's, and 80's Russell was working around the clock as a session musician with the likes of B.B. King, Phil Spector, and Bob Dylan while appearing onstage with everyone from George Harrison to Jerry Garcia. Russell's work with Joe Cocker on The Mad Dogs and Englishmen tour secured his moniker as "the master of space and time" out of awe and respect from fellow musicians. His trademark gravelly voice and southern tinged bluesy soulful style paired with an amazing talent as a pianist made him one of the hardest working men in the music business. He stands today as one of the greats.
